Removal of Chairman of different commissions of India
Removal of Chairman and member of different commissions of India:
All the chairman or any members of the following commission can removed by the the President on the ground of proved misbehaviour or incapacity. However in these cases President has to refer the matter to the Supreme Court for an inquiry. If the Supreme Court after the inquiry upholds the cause of removal and advises so than the president can remove the chairman or a member.
1. National Human Rights Commission (NHRC),
2. State Human Rights Commission (SHRC),
3. Central Vigilance Commission (CVC),
4. Central Information Commission (CIC),
5. State Information Commission (SIC),
6. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC),
7. State Public Service Commission (SPSC).
In case of SIC and SPSC appointment of chairman and member is done through Governor of particular state, but in case of removal on the ground of proved misbehaviour or incapacity, they can be removed by the President only.
