Question Hour

Question Hour:

-Question Hour is the first hour of a sitting session of every Parliament.

-There are three types of question:

*Starred Question
*Non starred Question and
*Short Notice Question

Starred Questions:

-Starred questions are those for which an oral answer is given.

-In this member is allowed to ask a supplementary question, with the permission of the Speaker, after the reply is obtained from the Minister concerned.

-Non starred questions:

It requires written answer, after the reply has been provided, no supplementary question can be asked.

Short Notice Question:

One that is asked by giving a notice of less than 10 days, it is answered orally.
