Qualification of Chairman and Members of Finance Commission of India

Qualification of Chairman and Members of Finance Commission of India:

The Chairman of the Finance Commission is selected among people who have had the experience in public affairs.

The other four members are selected from the following:

-A judge of High Court or one qualified to be appointed as judges of High Court, or

-A person who has specialised knowledge of Government finances and accounts, or

-A person who has experience in administration and financial matters; or

-A person who has special knowledge of economics.
