Town Planning of Indus valley Civilization:
-It was planned on the lines of the 'grid system' i.e. streets & lanes cutting across one another almost at right angles.
-The main roads ran North to South & the by lanes ran West to East, intersecting the main streets.
-The city was divided into two main parts - the Citadel & the Lower Town.
-Excellent Sanitation & Drainage system.
-Total absence of Stone buildings & use of only standardized burnt bricks.
