Cholas:

-Chola dominion was known as 'Tondaimandalam' or 'Cholamandalam'.

-Capital - Uraiyur, Famous for Cotton trade.

- Karikala - Famous among Chola King, founded the port city of Puhar or Kaveripattinam.

-He also got 160 km of embankment constructed along the Cauvery River.

-Senganan king of Chola popular for his devotion to Shiva, built 70 fine temple for Shiva.

-The Cholas adopted the tiger as their crest which figured on their banner.
