Economy of Mauryan Dynasty:
-Land revenue was the main source of income, fixed at 1/4th of the produce, called 'Bhaga' an extra tax called 'Balu' was also collected.
Other taxes:-
-Pindakara - on groups of village.
-Kara - fruits & flower garden.
-Hiranya - paid in cash.
-Punch marked silver coins which carry the symbol of Peacock, Hill & Crescent were used.
