Buddha's Philosophy:
Four Noble Truths:-
i. The World is full of Sorrows.
ii. The cause of sorrow is desire
iii. If desires are conquered, all sorrows can be removed.
iv. The only way desires can be conquered is by following the Eight Fold Path.
Eight fold Path - (Ariya - Atthangikamarga):-
i. Right Understanding / View
ii. Right Thoughts
iii Right Speech
iv. Right Action
v. Right Means of Livelihood
vi. Right Effort / Exertion
vii. Right Mindfulness
viii. Right Concentration \ Meditation
-Buddhist Sangha consists of 'Bhikkhus' (Monks) & 'Upasakas' (Lay Worshipers)
-Bhikkhu would act as a friend, philosopher & guide to the common man in religious & social matters.
-Membership of the sangha is open to all except lepers, debtors, etc.
