Art & Culture of Mauryan Dynasty:

The main examples of the Mauryan art and architecture that survived are:-

-Ashoka's pillars
-Ashoka's Rock edicts
-Remains of the royal palace and the city of Pataliputra
-Rock cut Chaitya caves in the Barabar and Nagarjuni hills
-Individual Mauryan sculptures and terracotta figurines
-carvings of the four lions at Sarnath
-Stupas to enshrine the relics of the Buddha were constructed and Asoka is credited with 84.000 of them.
-Potteries - most popular was the Northern Black Polished ware
-Terracotta objects were also very popular.
