AMRAVATI SCHOOL OF ART
Amaravati School of Art:
-Flourished between the lower valleys of the Krishna & Godavari (Andhra Pradesh) between 2nd Century B.C. to 4th Century A.D.
-Main Centres were:-
-- Amaravati
--Nagarjuna Konda and
--Jaggayyapeta.
-Used White marble for images.
-The curly hairs of Buddha is a feature that is influenced by the Greeks.
-In this school, the Kings, Princes, Palaces etc. have got prominence instead of religious figures.
