Pratibha Kiran Yojana

- Madhya Pradesh Launches a Scheme for Girl Education - Madhya Pradesh government has introduced a new scheme named 'Pratibha Kiran Yojana' for promoting higher education among girls of the poor urban families.
- For inducing meritorious girls of families living below the poverty line in urban areas to go for higher education is the basic purpose of this scheme.
- Under this Pratibha Kiran Yojana, girls passing the 12th standard examination in first division will be provided scholarships of Rs. 300 per month for a period of 10 months for persuing their studies in conventional courses while scholarships of Rs. 750 per month would be given for technical and medical courses.
