Marginal Farmers Development Agencies (MFDA)

- One of the objectives of Fourth Five Year Plan (1969-74) was to provide loans to the small farmers so that they may use the modern techniques and adopt the intensive farming.
- On the directions of Planning Commission, such agencies were established for recognising the small farmers and presenting various plans to the banks for solving the financial problems of the small farmers.
